Can Mobile phone Blast??? Do you believe it ???

"Mobile blast" or "Bombile" is the word u can hear everywhere in Assam,India from home to office, vegetable market to shopping complex, school to universities.Reports are comming from many places of mobile phones suddenly exploding after receiving a call, causing the user to become unconscious and sometimes its get severe.

An about 30 cases happened so far since last week with more than 20 people admitted to hospitals.

According to witnesses and victims, the explosions took place soon after receiving calls from numbers that appeared in red on the handset screens.

Case 1: "I got a phone call from an unknown number and I noticed on my handset that the numbers were highlighted in red colour. Soon after I received the call, there was a loud sound and I was left unconscious".

Case 2: "I experienced some sort of an electric shock soon after receiving the call and then later found myself in the hospital bed"

Case 3: "Suddenly my mobile phone explode in my pocket and i got shocked like an electric shock."

Mobile service providers are confused and have no scientific explanation to these bizarre cases.

Some are telling this happend after receiving some particular unknown number", But there are also such incident when someone received a phone call from his friend.

HOW CAN THIS HAPPENED???? Whats the technology behind it ???

Is it possible for someone to blast a mobile in any provider network by using some particular phone number or any phone number ?

In my point of view, mobile numbers are just mapping of a number to SIM card. Every mobile(GSM) networks operate in a number of different carrier frequency ranges. In india, 2G GSM networks operating in the 900 MHz or 1800 MHz band, 3G BSNL uses 2100MHz. Most of the mobile in india can only receive this two band. This mobile can not receive signal beyond this two band.So there is no possibility for using very high frequncy which would have been a reason for explosion.

Again every uplink and downlink frequency are allocated by the Base station of the service provider. So no one can predetermine the frequency in which he will talk.So one can not use a particular number for to use a determine frequency which may cause malfunction to the cellphone.

In the incident where phone was blast in pocket, the reason must lie with the phone itself or the Base station(which periodically transmit some information in idle state with the mobile and vice versa)

The most interesting thing is that its happening only in assam!!!!!!

This conclude(i guess) the reason behind this mysterious phenomenon lies only in the defect of mobile circuitry or low quality battery. May be the battery is not properly checked or it is defective or some defective mobile(low quality) has been sold to assam during last few months!!!!

A mobile can not be blast but the Battery can!!!!!

N.B. Don't buy low quality/cheap mobile, even if that mobile might not blast but can harm you gradually.
Use headphone when u talk long time.
Don't use bluetooth headphone,it may also harm.

What is your view ????? Please comment.

  2. This does not due to the phone comming from a number. This due to the Battery used in that phone or the defective circuitry.
Most mobile and laptop batteies use Lithium-ion(Li-on) battery.Li-ion batteries are not as durable as nickel metal hydride or nickel-cadmium designs, and can be dangerous if mistreated. This may result where an increase in temperature changes the conditions in a way that causes a further increase in temperature, leading (in the normal case of an exothermic reaction) to a destructive result. In extreme cases, these effects may be described as "explosive." Furthermore, overdischarge can irreversibly damage a battery. To reduce these risks, batteries generally contain a small circuit that shuts down when the battery moves outside the safe range of 3–4.2 V.
May be that mobile which experienced red color on an incoming call has circuitry problem and the power transmission to the mobile screen gets disrupted resulting a red color in the screen.(You might have experienced with your mobile displaying red LED when your battery has no charge left).

  5. Defective batteries can be dangerous. Not the old one. Each battery has a liftime(Sometime it indicates by increase in size). After that it will no more recharge. In that situation u should replace the battery with the new one(branded).

  7. This is very good reasoning for the mobile phone blasts, this is certanly due to low quality mobiles, may be one lot of these mobiles is severely bad and caused these blasts while receiving calls, as the load on battery is more while a call is made or received.....

  11. You can simply search for your desired phone cases or accessories by typing the phone model of your choice or if you already know the phone manufacturer, you can search using the brand name. This has always been my first choice when it comes to buying a mobile phone covers.
